Where to begin

Fifty weddings a year, and never two the same

Some couples want the whole hotel and a tipi on the lawn. Some want a short guest list in the Champagne Room and a long lunch. Both are a proper Dunes wedding, and both get the same kitchen, the same coordinator and the same run of the grounds.

What follows is how a day here tends to go. Take the parts that suit you and tell us the rest.

The baseline

Every wedding here includes

  • Master of Ceremonies
  • Full day room hire
  • Chair covers and sashes
  • White table linen, napkins and crockery
  • Use of the grounds for photographs
  • The bridal suite for your wedding night

Your own wedding coordinator comes with every package too, and there is no corkage on the wine you bring.

The ceremony

Say it outside, or in

Our outside courtyard is a purpose-built wooden gazebo surrounded by greenery and open to the South Lakes sky. Outdoor ceremonies are weather permitting, and there is always an indoor plan B ready, so nothing about the day rests on the forecast.

The evening

The licence runs late

Live music, a DJ or your own playlist through our sound system until midnight. The bar is private and staffed by our own team, and nobody is ushered out while the night still has life in it.

One coordinator

With you every step of the way

A bride getting ready in the bridal suite

Our wedding and events team take the time to understand your plans, your priorities and your own style, then guide you through each stage: the first consultation, the long middle of the planning, and the week it all becomes real.

Every package includes a Master of Ceremonies on the day. Silver, Gold and Platinum include our resident DJ. You are given a planning journal to work through the decisions in order, so nothing arrives as a surprise in the last fortnight.

You made sure everything flowed beautifully so that we could simply enjoy ourselves.

The moment everyone remembers

The wedding breakfast

Ask any couple who married here what their guests still mention, and the answer is the food.

A wedding table laid with candles, flowers and wine

Exceptional food sits at the heart of every celebration here. All catering is prepared in-house by our own kitchen team, in a state of the art kitchen, and served with care. Choose from thoughtfully created menus or build something more personal with the team; dietary requirements are catered for, and our no corkage policy means your own wine and spirits come to the table without a per-bottle charge.

The food was especially epic. Compared to other venues we found a perfect balance for value for money.”

  2. Attended a wedding and was very pleasantly surprised. The ceremony was outside on the patio which was nice. The food was very good, both main meal and evening buffet, and the beer was excellent.
